Vinodhini Vaidyanathan
Vinodhini Vaidynathan is an Indian film actress who has appeared in Tamil language films. She made her debut in A. R. Vinodhini made her first film appearance in Priyadarshan's ''Kanchivaram'' (2009), after being selected by the director to be a part of the film after he spotted her during a performance with the Tamil theatre troupe, Koothu-P-Pattarai. The film won critical acclaim and recognition at the National Film Awards, but the film did not enjoy mainstream success and the actress's performance went unnoticed. In early 2010, director Saravanan had watched one of the troupe's plays titled ''Saami Aatam'', in which Vinodhini played three characters and recited a 45 minute monologue, and was impressed enough to cast her in his first Tamil film, ''Engeyum Eppodhum'' (2011), produced by AR Murugadoss.〔http://silverscreen.in/features/work-and-play-the-vinodhini-interview/〕 Her performance in the film as the character of Ananya's sister, was well received despite being a short one, and the director often let her improvise on sets.
